Hola y'all!
Its been a crazy, fun, spiritual week like always! This week I got a new companion (my 4th companion in this area)! Sister Bailey Loveridge from Roy Utah! She is an American Sign Language (ASL) called missionary. She has been out on her mission 4 months, almost 5 now! We are pretty much twins and are a lot alike! She's an amazing missionary and I can't wait to serve with her here in Lake Travis!!
We taught Priscila this week and we talked a lot about the Word of Wisdom! Fast forward a couple of days at our next lesson with her she said she has been praying for help to not feel the urge to drink coffee or tea. Ever since then she hasn't had any of it (miracle)!
We also had a really good lesson with Gladys this week and guess what!? She brought her neighbor, Annamarie, over and now we are teaching them both! We talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon and why it's important to pray. They are such wonderful ladies and we can't wait to keep meeting with them.
After dinner on Wednesday with the Gibson's we asked if Sister Gibson would drive us to one of the areas that we were going to be in the rest of the night, and then we would just walk home later. As she dropped us off she handed us an unexpected bag of leftover roast not realizing we were going to be walking around the rest of the night. We thankfully took the bag and then waved goodbye as we walked away laughing and confused on how we were going to walk around with a bag of roast for the next couple hours. Lets just say a lot of people looked at us funny who drove by, but that's ok because we were happy we had leftovers! (Our members never fail to feed us good food)
On Thursday we did a lot of service for one of the members in our ward. We helped reorganize her kitchen, do dishes, and mop her floors. Becky (the member) was so grateful and it was so touching to get to know this wonderful woman! She is a convert to the church so she expressed her love to the missionaries and shared her amazing testimony with us! That night Venita Smith (recent convert) came out with us and she was so amazing! We had some appointments set up, and to have her there during these lessons was amazing! (Members truly are important in missionary work) She has such a strong testimony and we just love her so much and are grateful she was able to come out with us!
So just about ever since I got to Texas people have been saying wait until September and it will cool down. We have waited all month for it....aaaaannnd.... It FINALLY STORMED and is cooler! The weather has been so great and we got to watch some super gnarly thunderstorms......my favorite! This time of year also means butterflies and fireflies......ALSO my favorite! The butterflies are everywhere during the day and in the evening the fireflies are dancing through the grass. They're magical!
We had the wonderful opportunity to listen to General Conference this weekend and I was touched by all the talks that were given! I don't even know what to share because I loved it all and if you didn't have the chance to listen to ALL of the talks that were given, I challenge you to go back and listen to them! These things that were talked about by our beloved Prophet Thomas S. Monson, the 12 Apostles, members of the 70, and all who gave talks, received revelation from our Father In Heaven on what to tell us and how to direct and guide us! I truly loved each and everything that they had to say!

I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much and He knows each and every one of us individually! He cares about us and He is always there for us! Sometimes it may feel like He is not listening when we feel we need his help, or if we are going through a trial in our lives, but I testify that He is listening and He will help us! I know our Savior Jesus Christ lives! He paid the price for each and every one of us so we could accept his atonement and return to live with our Heavenly Father again! I know God has a plan for us! I know Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ and I know that through him the Book of Mormon was translated! The Book of Mormon is the word of God and does contain the fullness of the everlasting Gospel! I know the Temple is the house of God and the Priesthood power within those walls is truly the power of God! I love this gospel with all my heart and I know its true with all of my being!!
I hope y'all have a wonderful week!!
Con Amor,
Hermana Mann
