All in!
A year and a half ago when I entered this mission my Mission President said to me "choose now to be All in" A phrase representative of “complete consecration.” It finds its basis in scriptural mandates: “thrust in your sickle with all your soul, and your sins are forgiven you” (D&C 31:5) and “see that you serve him will all your heart, might, mind and strength, that you may stand blameless before God...” (D&C 4:2). In the Texas San Antonio Mission, the phrase originates from a story often told of the Slaughter children, in their younger years. When wanting to swim in the family pool, they were not to enter the water at the steps, little by little; rather they were to jump from the diving board–“All in!” That is the only way to enter the Texas San Antonio Mission–all in, all at once. I have given it my all over these past 18 months.
I echo the words of the prophet Joseph Smith when he said, "and now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which [i] give of him: That he lives!"
(D&C 76:22) I love my Savior. I'll always serve him.
I will Never leave the Lord. I will Never stand against his servants. I will Never turn from his truths. I will Never look back. Ever. All in. En el nombre de Jesucristo amen.
I love you! See y'all this week!
Con Amor,
Hermana Mann
